When are your hours? Fax number?
We offer appointments between 9:00 AM-4:30 PM Monday through Friday, depending on clinician availability. The length of the appointment depends on the service you utilize, so be sure to ask your clinician if you have additional questions. Our fax number is 844-222-3691.
Do you prescribe medication?
As psychologists, we do not prescribe medication. Medication is prescribed by medical professionals, for example, psychiatrists, primary care doctors, and others with prescription privileges. We often coordinate efforts with other treatment providers and there may be times when we will refer you for a consultation to a prescribing provider in order to obtain medication.

How many sessions do I need to schedule?
The number of sessions that you utilize depends on a number of factors and can not always easily be predicted. You are encouraged to discuss this with your therapist to ensure that everyone is on the same page regarding treatment. You and your therapist will typically develop a treatment plan within the first few sessions.
How much does counseling cost?
The rate for counseling depends on which service you utilize and if you are using insurance or not. If you are not sure which treatment would work best for you and your needs, it may be beneficial to contact us via phone, email, or the contact form on this website and a 15 minute phone consultation can be arranged to help make that decision.
Do you take insurance?
Yes. The best way to determine if we take your insurance is to go on your particular insurance carrier's website and see if you can find either Manhattan Mental Health Services, LLC OR the individual clinician you were hoping to work with (for the names and spelling, go to the Clinicians page).
How do I pay?
If you have insurance, we will send a claim to the company and bill via Quickbooks once we receive an explanation of your benefits. If you do not have insurance, we will generate an invoice for you after your appointment. Bills will be received at the email of your choice through Quickbooks. From the invoice, you can pay online. If you have not received an invoice, you may want to check your spam folder before contacting us. If you have questions about payment, you may discuss this directly with your clinician or contact Anne Weber from Annefficiency at 316-393-9124 or [email protected].
Do you have to have serious mental problems to go to therapy?
No. People come to therapy for a variety of reasons. Therapy is not an indication that you can not help yourself or are weak in some way. On the contrary, it takes courage to engage in the vulnerability therapy requires.
Do you provide mandated or court-ordered counseling or assessment?
We do not provide mandated or court-ordered counseling or assessment.
