Couples Therapy
All meaningful relationships have their ups and downs. The most important relationships in our lives have a significant effect on our overall sense of well-being, and if it is not going well, few would argue that it does not also start to impact other areas of your life (e.g., work, parenting, social relationships, school, etc.). At times, it may be helpful to come together as a couple to discuss some of the problems you are having and try to find alternative solutions. At Manhattan Mental Health Services, LLC, we aim to provide you and your partner with the support to make improvements in your relationship. As is the case with individual therapy, our practitioners are prepared to help you with a wide range of concerns, including, but not limited to: problems with communication, avoiding conflict, difficulty with commitment, differing expectations about relationships, infidelity, etc.
If you decide that couples counseling is a good fit for you and your partner, consider contacting us and setting up an appointment. To set up an appointment, please have an idea of what times work best for you and your partner. Both of you will be asked to fill out the initial paperwork. Be advised that we do not perform custody evaluations. Custody evaluations are ideally conducted by someone with experience and expertise in forensic assessment.
