How many sessions do I need to schedule?
The number of sessions that you utilize depends on a number of factors and can not always easily be predicted. You are encouraged to discuss this with your therapist to ensure that everyone is on the same page regarding treatment. You and your therapist will typically develop a treatment plan within the first few sessions.
How much does counseling cost?
The rate for counseling depends on which service you utilize and if you are using insurance or not. If you are not sure which treatment would work best for you and your needs, it may be beneficial to contact us via phone, email, or the contact form on this website and a 15 minute phone consultation can be arranged to help make that decision.

Do you have to have serious mental problems to go to therapy?
No. People come to therapy for a variety of reasons. Sometimes someone may need help making it through a difficult time like a divorce. While the divorce itself may even be a positive change, it may also create distress. We are here to help you cope with these periods of distress. Please keep in mind that insurance coverage differs and you will need to be aware of your particular benefits. You can also opt to forgo insurance and pay for treatment yourself (except when prohibited by contract).
Do you prescribe medication?
As psychologists, we do not prescribe medication. Medication is prescribed by medical professionals, for example, psychiatrists, primary care doctors, and others with prescription privileges. We often coordinate efforts with other treatment providers and there may be times when we will refer you for a consultation to a prescribing provider in order to obtain medication.
Do you provide mandated or court-ordered counseling or assessment?
We do not typically provide mandated or court-ordered counseling or assessment. For referrals, please contact us and we would be happy to send you to a provider that does.
