CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

Position Type: Full-Time Psychologist in Private Practice
Position Location: Manhattan, Kansas

Manhattan Mental Health Services is looking to hire a full-time, salaried Clinical Psychologist. This position is in an incredibly supportive and inclusive private practice setting. (Early Career Psychologists and Postdoctoral Fellows will also be considered).

Primary Responsibilities: 
  • Provide psychodiagnostic intake assessments to a wide array of potential clients
  • Provide ethical and psychologically sound individual counseling and/or couples and relationship counseling
  • Create and recommend plans for treatment based upon the needs of the client and findings from the psychodiagnostic intake assessment, including sensitivity to culture of the client
  • Regular consultation and collaboration with other MMHS clinicians to provide the highest quality care to clients
  • Complete all clinical documentation in an accurate, succinct, and timely manner
  •  Ensure the and maintain the confidentiality of any and all client situations

Qualifications: 
  • Licensed or Licensed Eligible Psychologist in the State of Kansas
  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D., Psy.D., Ed.D.) in clinical or counseling psychology
  • Training and experience serving diverse client populations
  • Open to working with and serving traditionally underserved communities, including but not limited to BiPOC clients, clients who identify as LGBTQ+, military affiliated persons and veterans   
  • Must pass a thorough background check
  • Working knowledge/understanding of diagnosing and diagnostic techniques
  • Understanding of and the ability to perform evidence based treatment modalities
  • Commitment to operating with high standards of professional practice and ethical care
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must obtain and maintain individual professional liability insurance through the duration of the contract agreement
